Augustana celebrates 10 years with the U of A

The century-old Camrose institution has embraced the opportunities made available as part of the worldwide reputation of the U of A.

By CHRISTOPHER THRALL

(Edmonton) On July 1, 2004, Augustana University College—formerly Camrose Lutheran College—was brought into the University of Alberta fold as the Augustana Faculty.

While much has changed in the 10 years since the merger—new buildings, new faces and new partnerships around the world—much has also stayed the same. While continuing to honour the school’s 104-year heritage, Augustana has embraced the opportunities made available as part of the worldwide reputation of the U of A.

Visit the 10th anniversary website to read about the merger and its impact on Augustana, the university, the Camrose area, Alberta and the future leaders who study there.
