U of A to review copyright agreement

Provost Carl Amrhein says the University of Alberta is giving "thoughtful consideration" to an announcement on Monday by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada and Access Copyright that they have, in the words of the two organizations, "negotiated a model licence that will allow universities to reproduce copyright-protected materials in both print and digital formats." The news release by Access Copyright and AUCC can be found here.

"We need to carefully review the agreement to determine how we should proceed in the best interests of the University of Alberta," said Amrhein.
